(SALEM, Ore. ) - On Wednesday, Aug. 15th, Thursday, Aug. 16th, and Tuesday, Aug. 21, Turner Road will be closed from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Signs will be used to notify drivers of detours. There will also be additional daytime single-lane closures, controlled by flaggers, on Turner Road. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Additional construction work will continue with nighttime single-lane closures on I-5 and lane closures and detours for local streets and roads. The speed limit is 50 mph between I-5 through the Salem area, between mile posts 251 and 255. Drivers should visit www.TripCheck.com or call 511 for the most current traffic advisories. The work is part of a $52 million contract with Hamilton Construction Company, of Springfield, to replace seven bridges, repair one bridge and widen I‑5 to six lanes through south Salem. The project is funded by the Oregon Transportation Investment Act.
