4.5 Quake Jolts Los Angeles Area Residents

There are no reports of injuries or major damage.

(LOS ANGELES) - A moderate earthquake rattled the Los Angeles area early Thursday morning, shaking residents out of bed and knocking some items off shelves.

According to the USGS the magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck just before 1:00 AM about 4 miles northwest of Chatsworth.

The quake had a depth of 3.4 miles.

There are no reports of injuries or major damage.
