Portland Police Searching for Stolen Goat

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing goat that was stolen from a residence in the 6800 block of Southeast 122nd Avenue on Monday.

Portland Police spokesman Sergeant Pete Simpson said the owner of Penelope the goat reported that she was tethered and secured in the front yard and that she was taken sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. The owner does not believe Penelope would have been able to escape and that someone stole her from the yard, Simpson said.

Penelope is described as a two-year-old female Nigerian Dwarf Goat, approximately 2'5" tall, 50 pounds, brown and white in color.

Anyone with information about Penelope's whereabouts is asked to call the Police Non Emergency line at (503) 823-3333, reference Portland Police Bureau Case #14-62843.
