(STAYTON, Ore. ) - On July 31st, the Stayton Police Department investigated a residential burglary in the 1100 block of N. Gardner Ave. The suspect entered the home while the residents were sleeping. They entered through an open screen door left open because of the temperature. Several hundred dollars in property were taken including personal identification. This has been the third burglary in the past two weeks where the suspects gained entry through unlocked doors, two of which were while the home owners were in the home sleeping. There were three other attempted burglaries during this same time period. Even though the temperatures are warm we would like to urge people to be sure their home and valuables are secured. The Stayton Police Department would also like to ask people to please keep copies of serial numbers of their valuables and to mark them for future identification. If you have any suspect or witness information about any of these incidents please contact the Stayton Police Department at (503) 769-3421 Articles for July 31, 2007 | Articles for August 1, 2007 | Articles for August 2, 2007 | googlec507860f6901db00.html Quick Links
