(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - An armed robbery in Lincoln City at the Tanger Outlet Mall over the weekend left an 18-year old Lincoln City man, Ty Pederson, wounded in the face. It happened Friday evening at the Springmaid-Wamsutta store. Pederson was injured when the suspect began firing during the robbery attempt. Firefighters and ambulance personnel arrived on the scene as police secured the area. Ty Pederson was stabilized and transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City, then loaded onto a Lifeflight helicopter which transported him to Emmanuel Hospital in Portland. Pederson remains in the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Now Lincoln City Police say they have the man in custody that that pulled the trigger in custody. 17-year old Hector Fernando Canales-Robles was arrested at 5:00 AM this morning by the Lincoln County Major Crimes Team. He is being held at the Lincoln County Juvenile Facility in Newport on charges of First-Degree Robbery, Attempted Homicide, First-Degree Assault, Menacing and First-Degree Kidnapping. Sorry to the Pederson family and good thoughts to Ty Pederson. If the man they arrested is really the guy that did it, I hope they toss the key!, what kind of ass would do something like this?
