FBI and Salem Police Seek Public Help in Identifying Bank Robber

They're looking for a heavyset female bank robber who threatened bank employees with a weapon.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The FBI and Salem Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3997 Commercial Street SE in Salem at about 9:15 AM Thursday morning.

The woman reportedly was wearing heavy make-up, including a great deal of blush and lipstick smeared all over her face.

The woman entered the bank, approached a teller, demanded cash, and threatened that she had a weapon. When she received cash, she left the bank on foot.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a white woman in her early 20's who stands between 5’1" – 5’2" tall and weights approximately 150 pounds.

The woman is further described as having a heavy build, with dark brown. She was wearing dark oval glasses, a dark black or brown Nike hat, dark over-sized ¾ length jacket, brown leather gloves, white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (503) 224-4181 twenty-four hours a day, the FBI in Salem at (503) 362-6601, or the Salem Police Department at (503) 588-8477.
