(Stayton, Ore.) - Police say that sometime early Wednesday morning, someone threw a concrete water cover through the plate glass window of Dirk's Barber shop at 263 N. 3rd. Ave; in Stayton Oregon.

It was discovered early Wednesday morning by a worker at Wave Broadband Cable Company, the next door neighboring business, and called into Stayton Police at 7:27 AM.

The barber shop is owned and operated by Roxanne Wells who has been the owner for the past one and half years. Thieves apparently made off with a flat screen Television, a DVD player, the cash register, which sat on the counter near the window and some personal items.

Police have some fingerprints and other clues but are not releasing any names of suspects at this time. Estimated damage to the window is $600. No dollar amount has been given yet for the other items or cash register that were stolen.

Police are asking anyone who might have seen something at this location to please call them. The phone number to Stayton P.D. is (503) 769-3421. The investigation is continuing.
