Corban-Concordia Postponed, Make-up Date Still to be Determined

(Salem, Oregon) - Fourth-year head softball coach Nathan Ohta announced Friday that tomorrow's Cascade Collegiate Conference double header against nationally-ranked Concordia has been postponed due to the amount of rain in the forecast.

"Having already received nearly one inch of rain over the past 24 hours along with the 40% chance of rain tomorrow, the possibility of getting our field ready to play was not looking good," said Ohta. "We are hoping to make-up both games against the Cavaliers, as these two contests could be crucial in helping us advance to the postseason."

Saturday's twin bill was the only games scheduled this week for Corban, as the Warriors will now have to wait until Tuesday, April 19th, before taking the field again versus conference rival Northwest Christian in a mid-afternoon double header beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Warrior Field in Salem.

Between the two teams, 30 games this season have been affected by the weather with Corban either losing games or switches sites 13 times and Concordia having 17 of its games altered for one reason or another.

Stay tuned to GoWarriorsGo.com for further details on the Warriors' remaining 2011 schedule.
