Oregon Department of Revenue Extends Customer Service Hours

Because April 15th falls on a Saturday, you have until midnight, Monday, April 17th to file

(SALEM) - Attention last-minute income tax filers: The Oregon Department of Revenue is extending its telephone hours through April 17th to help you.

If you have questions about income taxes and can't find the answers in your tax booklet or online, customer service representatives are available by phone.

The agency's tax help phone lines will be staffed 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, April 3rd through April 17th.

Walk-in office hours will be 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM, on those days.

On Saturday, April 15th, Revenue will staff customer service phones from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The tax help line is (503) 378-4988 (Salem area or outside Oregon), or (800) 356-4222 (toll-free from an Oregon prefix).

Spanish speakers may call (503) 945-8618 (Salem) or (800) 356-4222 (toll-free from an Oregon prefix).

For TTY (hearing or speech impaired only), call (503) 945-8617 (Salem area) or (800) 886-7204 (toll-free from an Oregon prefix).

The TTY number is answered by machine; a representative will return the call.

Due to the high volume of calls the department receives during tax season, you may experience extended wait times or get a busy signal.
