Jerusalem Interfaith Freedom March Meets Resistance, Success

Skype interview with organizer, Dr. Frank Romano, in Jerusalem.

Interfaith Freedom March

(JERUSALEM) - It's called the Interfaith Freedom March because everybody deserves to be free, says organizer, Dr. Frank Romano, who is the author of "Storm Over Morocco".

This tireless activist leads the marches through Palestine and Israel four times a year. An attorney who is a member of the bars in California and Paris, France, Frank works with immense passion and dedication, and harnesses the enthusiasm of people of all religions and beliefs- to spread the word of peace in this historic, Biblical place.

Romano says he was reminded during the march held just two days ago, that some people have simply seen to much misery; they have experienced too much pain.

The downtrodden, so sick of violence and death in this part of the world, often do not believe that there is still a reason for hope. Many have forgotten if they ever knew it at all.

It is about fault and responsibility, but more importantly it is about a new day, which people like Frank Romano believe in their hearts will someday come.

He talks about the immense numbers of Muslims, Jews and Christians, who try every day to bring about this new way of thinking; one that abandons the bloodshed and allows all people to exist at a rate that is acceptable.

Sometimes the Interfaith aspect confuses people, Romano says, because they are so polarized that they can't grasp the concept at first. Some he says, actually ended up joining them. Others were not so amiable.

I greatly appreciate Dr. Frank Romano's time and the fact that we can speak from so far away, with relative clarity. The fourth edition of his book Storm Over Morocco" is due out in two weeks. He discusses the new chapters in the intervew, as well as explaining the current march, and how it relates to previous similar events, held over the last three years.
