(SALEM, Ore.) - Effective October 1, 2015 registered medical marijuana dispensaries in Oregon will be able to sell limited marijuana products to adults 21 years or older. "Early sales" of recreational marijuana includes seeds, dried leaves and flowers, and immature marijuana plants.

There are 345 approved medical marijuana dispensaries in Oregon, however, not all of them will have recreational "early sales" available.

Salem Police Participating In Traffic Safety Campaign

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Salem Police Department is participating in the third of three traffic enforcement campaigns. The campaign began on August 24 and will run through September 6.

The increased patrols are during the daylight hours for the purpose of enforcing seatbelt, child restraint violations and cell phone use.

Israel to Build Fence Along Jordan-Israel Border

Israeli officials believe the fence is necessary to prevent Iran from arming Palestinians in the West Bank.

(SALEM, Ore.) - According to a Reuters report, Israel's security cabinet approved a decision to build a fence along the Jordan-Israel border.

The first 30-kilometer-long segment of the fence will be constructed between Eilat and the future site of the Timna international airport.
