Police Investigate Robbery and Assault in Keizer (UPDATE)

Salem Police identified the vehicle but it's driver gave chase and police terminated the pursuit for safety reasons, but not before gettign a positive I.D. They now know the license plate is YHZ 877, the car is is a white 1992 Chevrolet Lumina four door.

(KEIZER) - Police say a Keizer woman was the victim of a beating and robbery that happened Tuesday night. The victim, 34-year old Armanda Cabigas, reported the incident around 10:00 AM this morning.

She reported that as she walked in the 800 block of Chemawa Road NE, the three suspects exited their car and approached her. She was struck hard enough that she became unconscious.

Ms. Cabigas awoke to the suspects pulling on her coat and purse in an apparent attempt to steal them. The suspects continued to assault her, kicking her and stomping on her back. Ms. Cabigas received bruising, a small laceration on her face and a black eye.

The suspects forcefully removed undisclosed property from her and fled in their car. Ms. Cabigas crawled to the roadway where she was able to get a look at the suspect's vehicle and possible license plate.

That vehicle was described as a late 80’s/early 90’s full size, light colored sedan. The car is a four-door model and was described as a Lincoln or Ford Crown Victoria. The possible license plate is VHZ 877.

She was very close, the actual plate number for the suspect car is YHZ 877, it is a white 1992 Chevrolet Lumina four door.

This afternoon, a Salem Police officer located and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver did not stop and a chase ensued. The driver refused to stop and the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 6’2”, thin, wearing a white pull-over sweatshirt and a red bandana over his face.

Suspect number two is described as a Hispanic or black male 5’6”, wearing a dark colored pull-over with a red bandana over his face.

The third suspect is reported to be a Hispanic male 5’6”, with a heavy build.

All three suspects were between 17 and 22 years of age.
