(SALEM, Ore.) - The footage released online showing the crossing of Saudi officials’ convoy that lead to blocking the pilgrims’ road and then causing the disaster, is said to belong to King Salman. Reports indicate the convoy that was previously attributed to King’s son, Mohammad Bin Salman, in fact belongs to the King himself. The convoy didn’t cross the Mina to perform Hajj rituals. Rather, based on the footage released, the officials had not put on Hajj clothes and were heading to the King's Palace in Mina. It is noteworthy that Saudi officials believe due to the crowd and security reasons, practicing the Hajj is an event for once in a life time. They prefer practicing Omrah instead. This argument supports the claim that the convoy belonged to King Salman, especially when photos released suggesting the King monitored the disaster from his penthouse in Mina. #NO2ALSAUD _________________________________________
