(KEIZER) - A Keizer man is in custody on over a million and a half-dollars bail after his arrest for possession and sales of meth charges. Jeff Isham with Keizer Police says the arrest concluded a month long drug investigation.

Keizer detectives served a search warrant at 926 Appleblossom Drive NE Wednesday afternoon, due to evidence they had gathered linking Sidney L. Carlson to methamphetamine sales.

Isham says a search of the residence revealed a small amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, scales, packaging material, a loaded .22 caliber handgun, and a .22 caliber rifle that had been converted into a short barrel firearm by sawing off the barrel.

“There was also over 125 items of property that were seized that are suspected of being stolen. Those items range from hand tools and stereos to a full size Amana home air conditioning unit.” Isham says the majority of the items that are suspected of being stolen had the serial numbers scratched off, “leaving it hard for investigating officers to actually confirm that they were indeed stolen. The suspected stolen property portion of this incident remains under investigation.”

He says anyone has recently been a victim of burglary of theft and the property that was taken are tools and construction type equipment should call Officer Johnson at 503-856-3478.

57-year old Sidney Lucein Carlson was arrested for three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and lodged at the Marion County Correctional Facility. His bail amount is $1,510,000.

My God, why did you have to go through this hell for so long? Someone was not on the ball. I am sure that you did everything possible, but it sounds like this should have been taken care of a long time ago. That is why I am for the privatization of even law enforcement. The private sector gets things done faster and if you do not do the job you are fired.
