(ONTARIO, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Sunday morning's single vehicle fatal traffic crash on Highway 95 south of Burns Junction that resulted in the death of an adult male driver and injuries to a female passenger. Names will be released when notifications have been confirmed.

According to OSP Sergeant Jason Reese, on November 28, 2010 at approximately 9:30 a.m. a 2003 Ford F250 pickup driven by a 53-year old male was southbound on Highway 95 near milepost 86 when it started to slide on the icy roads. The pickup rolled several times and came to rest on the driver's side about 50 feet off the highway.

The 43-year old female passenger freed herself from the overturned pickup. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.

The passenger was transported by McDermitt Ambulance to Winnemucca Hospital in Winnemucca, Nevada with non-life threatening injuries.

Both occupants were using safety restraints and the pickup's airbags did not deploy.
