(McMinnville, Oregon) - McMinnville Officers responded to burglary reports at McMinnville High School at 615 NE Evans Street and the Media, Arts, and Communication Academy (MACA) at 1330 NE Cowls Street early this morning. Surveillance video indicated the burglaries were committed by two males and that they started at 0200 this morning. While inside the High School campus, the burglars stole an undisclosed amount of cash from multiple locations, broke out multiple windows, and caused extensive damage to the athletic offices and snack room. This vandalism included breaking out one of the glass panes protecting the McMinnville mascot in the commons area. The MACA campus was also entered by breaking a window to gain access. There were multiple windows and office areas also damaged within the MACA campus and a smaller amount of cash stolen. At approximately 4:00 p.m. Thursday, McMinnville Officers served a search warrant at a McMinnville residence. During that search warrant service, the officers recovered some currency and other evidence related to the burglary. One 15 year old male juvenile has been arrested for the burglary and the investigation continues.
