Emergency Response Protest to Stop New Israeli Massacre in GazaSalem-News.com
U.S. tax dollars are paying for this attack on Palestinian civilians.
(WASHINGTON DC) - As of November 14, Israel officially began what it is calling “Operation Pillar of Cloud”, a new war on Gaza. The Israel Defense Force (IDF) has declared that all options are on the table and that they are ready for a ground operation.
Israel's Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai confirmed that yesterday 20 air strikes are only part of a longer-term escalation, "We are in the midst of an attack that will continue and grow. There is no hourglass."
Operation Pillar of Cloud – like previous attacks on Gaza – will target and kill a significant amount of civilians. At the time of writing Israel has already killed at least 15 Palestinians, including at least 6 children, and injured over 150, predominantly civilians.
The U.S. State Department issued a statement which it said the U.S. "support[s] Israel's right to defend itself."
From 2009 to 2018, the United States is scheduled to give Israel--the largest recipient of U.S. assistance--$30 billion in military aid. U.S. tax dollars are paying for this attack on Palestinian civilians.
