Las Vegas Magician Jackson Rayne Returns Home for Show Tour

A Salem illusionist returns to perform one of the most dangerous escapes in the history of magic.

(LAS VEGAS, Nv.) - Illusionist Jackson Rayne is coming home. The Las Vegas-based magician is preparing to return to Salem, Oregon to perform for the first time in nearly 5 years.

Rayne is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem. His 90 minute magic production is set for Friday, December 12th, at 7:30 PM. at the Historic Elsinore Theatre. General admission tickets are available for $20 at the door. They are also available at all local TicketsWest outlets or by phone at 1-800-992-TIXX.

“I got my start performing for the Silent Movie Series at the Elsinore,” says Rayne. “I’m thrilled to be coming home to Salem. I have so many memories here and I can’t wait to share my magic with the community.”

In 1999 Jackson gained national media attention through the Associated Press for attempting a deadly underwater escape in Salem, Oregon. Jackson was interviewed by the nationally syndicated television show, Extra. In 2003, Jackson gained national media attention for the second time in his career by producing Immersion: Buried Alive 10 Feet Underwater. Both stunts were held at Willamette University.

In 2005 Jackson made his first national television appearance on MTV where he performed magic and survived an underwater escape. He also filmed a pilot with MTV called “My Life Is a Reality Television Show”.

Most recently Jackson was selected as a featured variety performer for Spellbound – The Greatest Magic Show on Earth. Spellbound is one of the most famous magic productions in the world. It has taken Jackson across the globe to packed arenas of thousands of people.

Jackson’s show is suitable for all ages and promises high-energy comedy magic with lots of audience participation. He also plans on closing the show with a death-defying escape. “It’s going to be one of the most dangerous escapes in the history of magic,” says Rayne. “Good times!”
