(CLEARWATER, Fla.) - 17-year-old Nicholas Bollea, the son of professional wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan, was arrested Wednesday morning on a warrant for Reckless Driving Involving Serious Bodily Injury resulting from an August 26th, wreck which seriously injured his passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano III. A second driver, 22-year-old Daniel Jacobs, was issued a summons to appear in court for Reckless Driving. Nicholas Bollea was booked on the charges at the Pinellas County Jail and later released on $10,000 bail. The Clearwater Police Department has completed an extensive investigation into the causes of an August 26, 2007 wreck involving Nicholas and his passenger John Graziano III. The investigation, conducted by a team of four specially trained police investigators, working in conjunction with the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office, involved the critical examination of substantial physical evidence and the interviews of numerous witnesses. Based on the evidence and witness testimony, investigators have concluded that Bollea was operating his vehicle recklessly at the time of the crash and caused serious bodily injury to Graziano. Bollea turned himself in to Clearwater Police. He has been transported and is currently being booked into the Pinellas County Jail. Reckless Driving Involving Serious Bodily Injury is a third-degree felony. Bollea was also cited for:

Investigators interviewed several witnesses who stated they saw Bollea and Daniel Jacobs racing, before Bollea lost control of the his vehicle and crashed into a tree. Investigators have determined Bollea was driving in excess of 60 miles per hour close to or at the time of the crash. The posted speed limit in that area is 40 miles per hour. The road was also wet due to a recent rain shower. Graziano, a Marine who had just completed a tour of duty in Iraq, remains hospitalized, reportedly in a coma. "Nick and the entire 'Hogan' Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007," the family said in a statement. "Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena -- a court of law." Articles for November 6, 2007 | Articles for November 7, 2007 | Articles for November 8, 2007 | Quick Links

It serves him right. I dont feel sorry for them. He just thinks just because him or his dad is famous that it's alright to do stupid things and get away from it. It's about time everyone takes charge of everyone else.

yeah, i'm pretty sure the DA, the SPECIALLY TRAINED police investigators, and everyone else involved in said investigation, were not privy to "the whole story". i suppose, in your head, the fact that a 17 year old who was driving over 20mph over the speed limit, while under the influence with a BAC of .05, is just a very small part of "the whole story". you, ray, are either paid PR or just a simple minded, starstruck, celebrity apologist...i'd put my money on the latter. either way, you're in the shallow end of the pool and unable to comprehend the swimming lessons. good luck with your issues and please never procreate...

Dang, that is sad. All of you people who don't know the whole story but still pushing for prosecution should be ashamed of yourselfs.
