(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Sergeant First Class Johnny C. Walls, 41, of Bremerton, Washington, died November 2nd in Uruzgan, Afghanistan. It is reported that he died from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, at Fort Riley, Kansas.
