Internet Classifieds for Alleged Prostitution Services Lead to Arrests in Salem

(SALEM) - Police in Salem used an unusual sting method involving the Internet to arrest three women for prostitution Thursday night at the Salem Inn on Freeway Ct NE.

Lt. Steve Bellshaw says officers worked from a tip, `We had received information that three prostitutes were working out of this motel and advertising on Craigslist, an internet classified ad site."

Next it was time for officers from the Salem Police Community Response Team to make a date.

`We confirmed they were indeed advertising on Craigslist and we set up times to meet the girls." Bellshaw says three women were arrested by officers at the motel.

Police arrested 21-year old Tyra Clisby, 25-year old Natsuko Kori and 21-year old Shayleen Macy, all of Portland. All three were charged with Prostitution, which is a Class A Misdemeanor.

Nice! Guess the John's weren't available for a photo-op. After all there wouldn't be a supply if there wasn't a DEMAND, so why not give the John's a staring role.

i think prostitutes SHOULDNT get shown to the whole world..!! i mean WWWOOOOWW ...they scabbed money in exchange of sexual favours..SO?! who cares somday people will discover a cure for Aids and there will be more prostitutes, cheating wifes, cheating couples, sex with animals. etc.. so yerrh i think there pics should get taken down i dont know them but come on?? everyone has done some form of prostitution in their lifes before RIGHT? im only 14yo and a guy in his mid 20s payed me for a french kiss... ^^ $250 arent i lucky? hehe but now he is only a friend i kiss him for free now because we like eachother...anyways leve prostitutes ALONE

This is a hate crime! All of these woman are of culture. I agree that this is an immoral way of trying to solve an issue. These people have families and deserve a lot more privacy. People make mistakes, especially young woman that haven't committed crimes before and where just misguided. Much luv. One.

i find it unbelievable that this is the way you treat women! These women are entitled to privacy and should not be displayed on the internet! with Idenity and Photo! It shameless! As a citizen of the Netherlands i embrace the fact that we do not try to solve our problems this way! We work with our problem instead of putting the women in jail! we try to give them different opportunities and changes in life! As long as there are men who ask for services there will exploitation of women.Put the fathers, husbands, bosses etc etc on the internet with a picture for exploiting women in need...
