THE PARENTS, ARE DUE BACK IN COURT ON JUNE 5TH SALEM-AREA RESIDENTS ARE INVITED TO A FREE FORUM THURSDAY NIGHT AT SALEM HOSPITAL TO LEARN ABOUT THE AFFECTS METH IS HAVING ON THE SALEM COMMUNITY. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON THE SUSPECT IS URGED TO CONTACT SALEM POLICE AT (503) 588-6123. AN ESTACADA FAMILY SEEKING $1.6 MILLION DOLLARS FOR THE DEATH OF THEIR DOG CANNOT BE COMPENSATED FOR LOSS OF COMPANIONSHIP, A CLACKAMAS COUNTY JUDGE RULED TUESDAY. THE JUDGE THREW OUT THE CLAIM, BUT WILL ALLOW THE JURY TO DECIDE IF THE FAMILY SHOULD BE PAID FOR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. POLICE SAY THE GOAL OF THE CAMPAIGN IS SIMPLE “ PEDESTRIAN SAFETY. THE ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN WILL OCCUR ON SATURDAY, JUNE 3RD, 4:00 PM TO 8:00 PM, ON HIGHWAY 99E AND D STREET. THE CITATION FOR FAILING TO YIELD TO A PEDESTRIAN IN A CROSSWALK IN $243 DOLLARS.
