(ALBANY, Or.) - Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports the body found in a pond near Sweet Home on May 7, 2014 has been identified as Tim E. Miller, 56-years old of Sweet Home. Mr. Miller's son, Jason Miller also of Sweet Home, reported his father missing to the Sheriff's Office on May 6, 2014. An autopsy was conducted yesterday which revealed that Mr. Miller died from homicidal violence. Tim Miller's body was found in a shallow pond located on a large piece of rural property commonly known as the Rockin Red Ranch. The ranch is located at 25491 Crescent Hill Road, which is approximately seven miles south of Sweet Home. Detectives from the Sheriff's Office and members of the Linn County Major Crimes Team completed a search of the property and conducted numerous interviews. The Major Crimes Team consists of members from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Albany, Lebanon and Sweet Home Police Departments, Oregon State Police, Medical Examiner's Office and the Linn County District Attorney.
