Sixth Annual Albany Teen Art Show Reception

(Albany, Oregon) - The sixth annual Albany Teen Art Show is on display at Albany City Hall through May, and a public reception to honor the work of 125 Albany-area teens will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

The reception will be in the Great Hall at City Hall, 333 Broadalbin St. SW., and is open to the public, artists and their friends and family.

Cash prizes ranging from $50 to $100 will be awarded for first, second, and third places in both 2D and 3D. The public is encouraged to attend the reception and visit the display during the month to vote on a People’s Choice award.

The show is presented by the Albany Arts Commission.

Albany businesses are providing gift cards and certificates to be raffled among all artists with entries in the show. The show is sponsored by the Albany Arts Commission and John Boock., in partnership with the Albany Visitor’s Association. Donations have been received from Al’s Frame Shop, Applebee’s, Dick Blick Art Materials, Bo-Mack’s Barbeque, Boccherini’s Coffee and Tea House, Carino’s, Cascade Grill, Ciddici’s, Courtesy Corner Shell, The Gallery, The Golden Pear, Loafer’s, Los Tequilas, Novak’s, Rhythm & Brews, Keith Sandberg State Farm and Spice & Ice.
