Red Alert Ends at Oregon State University

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Officials at Oregon State University in Corvallis say the school was on red alert over a person who had beem barricaded in a nearby building.
The school advised students of the situation at 10:33 a.m.
Law enforcement advises this area is secure and of no further concern.
KMTR TV reports that a SWAT team had surrounded a Corvallis house, near 25th Street and Harrison Boulevard. Officers reportedly negotiated with a man who has barricaded himself in the home.
Corvallis Police, Oregon State Police and the OSP SWAT team all responded to the scene.

My daughter manages the apartments right across the street from where this took place. These apartments are mainly occupied by college students. I was online chatting with her this morning when she told me that the SWAT team busted into the apartments demanding to be able to use the 3rd and 4th floor apartments for sniping. If my daughter had gotten hurt, I would have found out which cops were responsible...
