Jun-04-2010 14:10TweetFollow @OregonNews 'The IDF is Jack the Ripper' - Israel's Weak Shot at a Propaganda Video....Stupid!Commentary by Tim King Salem-News.comIsrael's weak attempt at a propaganda video.
(SALEM, Ore.) - I was a little concerned when this propaganda video minimizing Israel's murder on the high seas was sent over to Salem-News.com, after all propaganda is dangerous stuff. When I say it is weak and poorly written I am quite serious, and all hesitation to show it flew out the window once I saw it, because if this is Israel's best, we're in better shape than we realized. They are clearly rattled. The producers chose to make fun of the song Michael Jackson helped produce, 'We Are the World' and they seriously spoof people like the Captain of the Mavi Marmara. who was murdered in the attack, and Bob Dylan, who I suspect will not approve. Didn't Michael Jackson support Israel? The content of the rewrite is very telling; Israel has few rabbits left to pull out of the hat. They have never, ever looked so bad, not that they haven't killed far more in the past, but they did this act under the eyes of the world. So, in this video the activists trying to break the siege of Gaza with no special purpose other than aiding human beings, are portrayed as people seeking time on CNN, which speaks to the somewhat realistic coverage that CNN has given this story, and we shouldn't forget that. Now that we have published it, watch it go down the Google hole, and I hope so, because that is where this one belongs, about six feet down. And let's not forget the Israeli Zionists who have taken to the streets wearing snorkels to taunt the memories of those Flotilla members, one American among them, who were recently killed. If we, the critics of Israel's illegal, deadly and inhumane policies, even considered an act that literally made fun of the Jewish dead, we would be hung out to dry, but then we're not exactly soaking wet as it is. There is an analogy taking place in my mind, that is as Israel continues to lower the bar, becoming more classless and defensive, they are in effect starting to tear down the walls they have erected around the Palestinians. Keep going Israel, let's see what you next bright move is. Why don't you try backing off and letting the people of Gaza receive aid? Now there's some rocket science for you. This is Israeli racism in full swing, ust note the way they represent the people who they murdered. Every artist misrepresented in this video needs to make a statement about how they don't want to be associated with Israel's cruel, murderous history! Here you go: Here is the original video that took the world by storm, in an effort to raise money to help Africa. Watching it once will greatly illustrate the lack of quality in the Israeli satire. Israel is giving aid to Gaza everyday. But you're just too ignorant to notice it. The rules of the blockade are simple, no one is aloud to give aid to Gaza. Yet people break those rules and suffer the consequences. You must literally have your head so far up your ass.
Editor: Is there ever a person who supports Israel who does not start out with foul words and an ugly attitude? I guess being a liar of this magnitude would shoot anyone's credibility down the drain.

I think we should be honest and not beat around the bush. Our problem is that Israel is oppcupying arab territory and until they withdraw from all the land they are occupying any form of resistence is legitamate. The issue is not really this boat incidence. We all know that the people on the boat were interested in breaking the closure on Gaza and not to bring human aid. If we will be more honest and focus on the big picture we will make the point acrross.
Editor: It is a documented clear fact that they were delivering aid. Your comment is a troll comment with a little insidious remark slipped into the middle. You have no right to judge these heroes and martyrs.
John June 15, 2010 10:53 pm (Pacific time)
peace activists. Hilarious.
Tim King June 14, 2010 7:55 pm (Pacific time)
Hey Tim-
Get your facts straight...Israel is, per capita, pretty mu ch the most ..
Tim King: You are using my own name to comment here? You suggest we have low readership, it's public you moron. We see an average of 17,000 to 20,000 people on the average day, sometimes far more. Unlike your silly point, you now have the facts. I will not approve you again, so have a low life!

For those readers who don't understand why there is a bunch of thugs running Hamas, read Joe Saco's cartoon history of the siege of Sarajevo. When basic necessities are scant, when people are frightened and need protection, the guys who know how to smuggle and have a gun are usually the criminals. They rise to power in a vacuum.

hey would you like to see the germans making funny videos of what they did to the jews in world war 2? i am not saying hitler was right, there was no need to persucute gypsies and homosexuals!!!

The goal of the Flotilla was not "humanitarian." It was to break the blockade. If this happens without a work around that prevents uninspected shipments going to Gaza, arms from Iran and Syria will flow to Hamas unimpeded. Why should Israel commit suicide? Get real.
Editor: Wow, you compare attacking peace activists in international waters to not committing suicide? Thanks for the entertainment, and for showing such a ridiculous defense to the world.

Tim, God bless you and thank you for serving our country. With that out of the way... I have read that there are bad conditions in Gaza for the people that do NOT support Hamas. They aren't recieving aid that is getting in because Hamas keeps it. Germany card as rubuttle doesn't work, if the above statement is true.
Tim King: I believe Hamas is what you have after sixty years of oppression. I do not endorse or support any type of violence, but I try to understand why things end up the way they are, and it always leads back to the same answer; Israel. I can only imagine the division that exists among such an oppressed group of people. Maybe ending the blockade will lead to better days, let's hope so.

Actually, this video is genius. It has forced you to look at the truth - There is no crisis in Gaza, Food and supplies are sent from Israel every day. But let's offer the Hamas a deal - the naval blockade will be removed but all ground borders will be closed forever. Theoretically, if there is a food crisis there, they should agree. Practically, they will never agree. No ship can give them what the Israeli goverment sends them every day. And according to the picture with the subtitles - He meant that there are no people dying in Gaza (except those who Hamas murder). At the ship there were only 9 terrorists dead. If you've seen the videos from there you know that they were well prepared terrorists, well armed and funded (10K$ were found on each of them). Every other commando unit would have got there with "real" weapons (and not paintball guns) and fire on everyone who has a knife, bat or anything similar in his hands. It would have ended in dozens of casualties. Open your eyes! Gaza is controlled by Hamas which is a terror organization. Look what's going on in Lebanon, Hizballa doesn't have any blockade there and it constantly transfer thousands of rockets and missiles into Lebanon's territory. Israel shouldn't sign its suicide by removing the blockade.
One last thing - If you, and all human aid activists, really care about human rights in Gaza, why won't you check the Fatah's human rights (which its people are murdered by Hamas), or maybe women rights in Gaza (which don't exist), or Homosexuals in Gaza (which will be tortured and killed if they even get out of their homes).
Editor: Blah blah... anyone reading this, just select the key word 'Gaza' from this article and start looking at what is there. We have friends on the ground in Gaza, what the people there are living with is horrendous, and this jackass above is exactly like a Nazi telling the Red Cross, 'Oh no, everything is great in the Jewish ghetto'. Nobody's buying it, there aren't two sides to a story when one is racist.
eddie zawaski June 4, 2010 5:34 pm (Pacific time)
Don't Worry, Tim, this is not going down the Google hole. The NY Times has picked it up and there are some strong statements of disgust coming from NY Times readers.
One of the seamiest features of this pathetic attempt at satire was the statement made to the Times by the group's leader Carolyn Glick. Ms. Glick grew up in Hyde Park Chicago but left in 1991 to become an Israeli. She claims she couldn't wait to leave Hyde Park and the University of Chicago because it was a hotbed of America-hating liberals like Barack Obama. Then her five and a half years as an IDF officer prepared her for her debut as the hideous monster who mocks the dead. This video is an outrage on an outrage. The people in it are so smug and arrogant. If the Israelis want more enemies, this is the way to get them.
Tim King: Thanks Eddie!
Josh A. June 4, 2010 4:52 pm (Pacific time)
IDF got caught with its pants down. If your pro-Israel or not, there's obviously a problem. We see more propaganda as countries lose credibility and video's like this are just damage control. I'm sure the U.S. has an enormous propaganda 'budget' somewhere. Have you guys ever heard about the video's where Jews are 'described' as rats, 'scientifically'? That was propaganda in the mid 20th century. Guess what? It was a lie to get more support for a war.
Bob June 4, 2010 3:48 pm (Pacific time)
I guess it depends on your position on Israel. I think Israel has the right to defend itself and previous weapon smuggling of Iranian weapons to Palestinian terrorists is the reason Israel has to search all shipments to Gaza. I found the video hilarious. Particularly when they were singing about how peaceful they were while the video footage of the savage stabbing and clubbing of the Israeli soldiers was playing.
Editor: Bob, how do you skim over the pretext of this? Does law even count or matter? Had this happened in Israeli waters you would have a point, but they violated these ships in international waters. And you think they didn't have a right to defend themselves from a pirate invasion? Why not? You would sit back idly and watch? The Israeli Navy fired on this vessel before boarding it, the paintball defense (Not that you brought it up) is the biggest stretch in the world. Everyone was heartened by this voyage; no nation has a right to enforce an illegal blockade, no moral nation would do it. Israel, always the victim, but once again showing the world that it is Israel that draws blood, Israel kills 16 human beings, an American among them, The KILLED 16 Israeli savages and you talk about 'clubbing' being the problem. It is a sick and twisted point of view, obviously based in racism, that is the only way you or any person could accept the murders, but oh well. You are worse than a lot of people in history, Israel'a actions are inexcusable. The blockade needs to come down FOREVER and Israel needs to be tried for war crimes as the United Nations wants. They need to reveal their full inventory of undeclared illegal nukes, the western charade of a lifetime. Thank goodness there are good people in Israel working to expose the butchery you laugh about, but then people who accept this are the German civilians of the late 30's. I hope some day you are forced to walk through a Palestinian ghetto after an IDF attack and see what you support, like the Germans were forced to do at Buchenwald.
