Salem Man Pleads Guilty to Killing Florence Boatwright

Boatwright was found strangled the day after she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - A 23-year-old Salem man has admitted that he killed a 77-year-old woman while burglarizing her home on November 28th, 2006.

Darius Pittman could spend the rest of his life behind bars after pleading guilty yesterday in the death of Florence Boatwright, who was found strangled the day after she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary.

Pittman also pleaded guilty to burglary, stealing a car and meth charges.

A sentencing date has not been set.
