(MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. ) - A 3-year-old Oregon boy decided to take his parents Jeep out on a test drive, only to crash it into a neighbor's home, and then flee the scene to head back home to watch cartoons.

This all took place on Tuesday in the small, quiet community of Myrtle Creek, located just south of Roseburg.

An officer at about 9:00 a.m., first spotted the young boy sitting in the Jeep unattended and after watching the boy for about five minutes they went up to talk with the boy who said his parents were not home and he was being watched by a relative who at the time was sleeping.

The officer went to the front door and woke up the sleeping relative, Brennan Pennington, and gave him a warning.

Later that evening around 7:30 p.m., and while Pennington was either sleeping or in the bathroom, the 3-year-old got back into the Jeep, only this time he knocked the vehicle out of gear, and it crashed into a neighbor’s home, police said.

Officers later found the child back at his home watching cartoons, pretending like nothing had happened.

Police gave Pennington a ticket for the incident.
