Salem Motel Manager Arrested for Promoting Prostitution

Phoenix Inn corporate management cooperated fully with the investigation.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Police Department Street Crimes Detectives have arrested a motel manager on prostitution and other charges.

Salem Police spokesman Lt. Steve Birr says 25-year-old Christopher Butler was arrested Monday night at the Phoenix Inn located at 4370 Commercial Street SE after an investigation found he was providing free rooms which were being used for prostitution in exchange for sexual favors.

Butler is charged with Promoting Prostitution, Prostitution, Tampering with Evidence, and Interfering with Police, and was booked into the Marion County Jail.

Birr said Phoenix Inn corporate management cooperated fully with the investigation.
