Turbulence Over Nevada Injures 10 on United Flight

The injured were taken to a Denver area hospital for treatment.

(DENVER) - Eight passengers and two flight attendants were injured today when a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Chicago O'Hare encountered turbulence over Nevada.

Flight 1028 was carrying 180 passengers and seven crew members from Los Angeles to Chicago O'Hare when it was diverted to Denver at 2:55 AM after encountering turbulence over Nevada.

The injured were taken to a Denver area hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not available.

The Boeing 757 was checked out at Denver and then continued on.
