Turner Man Critically Injured After SUV Hits Power Pole

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

(SALEM) - Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 7300 block of Battle Creek Road SE early Sunday morning on a report of a single car motor vehicle crash.

The driver, 28-year-old Sean Michael Richardson of Turner, was operating his 2002 Chevy SUV southbound on Battle Creek Road.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:18 AM when he lost control of the vehicle in a curve and went off the roadway colliding with a power pole.

The vehicle came to rest down an embankment.

The driver along with his passenger, 30-year-old Joshua Cansler of Portland, was transported to Salem Hospital for treatment.

Richardson is listed at Salem Hospital in critical condition.

Was traveling the road shortly after that happened. It's a nasty curve. Especially if there are deer, ice, or if you're speeding...
