(ALOHA, Ore.) - Police say a woman ran into the Plaid Pantry store early Sunday morning at SW Tualatin Valley Highway and SW 209th Avenue, and reported that she had been attacked at the bus stop outside. Deputies arrived on scene shortly after the clerk called 911. The woman said that at about 2:20 AM, a clerk at the Plaid Pantry store located at 20925 SW TV Highway called 911 to report that a woman had been attacked and ran into his store. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrived soon after being dispatched. "The deputies say they found a disheveled and hysterical 32-year old female inside the Plaid Pantry who told them that a man had attacked her," Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. "The female stated she was waiting for the bus at the corner of SW TV Highway and SW 209th Avenue. She stated that a White or Hispanic man walked up to her and grabbed her by the hair and the arm. The male suspect dragged her into the parking lot of the Kaady Car Wash on the northeast corner of the intersection." He says the victim told deputies that the attacker wrestled her to the ground, and then attempted to remove her clothing. "She said she fought with the suspect and was able to get away. She ran to the store, and told the clerk what had happened. Deputies searched the area, but did not locate the suspect," Thompson said. The victim told detectives that she saw a man exit the westbound Tri-Met bus #57 while she was being attacked. Detectives would like to talk to anyone that may have seen anything suspicious during the hours of 1:45 AM to 2:30 AM in the area of SW 209th Avenue and SW TV Highway.
