Arrest Made in Sex Abuse Investigation at Day Care Facility

The suspect was arrested for first-degree Rape, first-degree Sodomy and first-degree Sex Abuse.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Detectives with the Beaverton Police Department arrested twenty-year old Vladysav "Lodick" Volynets-Vasylchenko of Tualatin Thursday in regard to a sex abuse investigation at a private daycare facility in Beaverton.

Sgt. Paul Wandell says the investigation was initiated on February 10th when the mother of an eight-year old female victim informed detectives her daughter had been sexually abused by Volynets-Vasylchenko.

The investigation indicated that the abuse had actually been going on over a three-year time period, Wandell said.

The daycare facility is located in a private residence in the 9800 block of SW Bonnie Brae Drive in Beaverton and maintains a permit to provide care for up to ten children.

Detectives made initial contact with the day care owner during the evening on February 10th.

Upon making contact at the residence, detectives learned the day care owner's son; twenty-two year old Sergey Petrovich Lyashenko was a registered sex-offender who was living at the home.

Wandell says Lyashenko was present when detectives arrived, and he was arrested on an unrelated charge of failing to report his address change as a sex offender.

Volynets-Vasylchenko was lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of was arrested for first-degree Rape, first-degree Sodomy and first-degree Sex Abuse.

During the course of this investigation, detectives have been in contact the State of Oregon's Department of Human Services.

I know this cock socker personally and had f*cked his ass up on few occasions while serving time at SRCI I like to say that he is a disgrace to a Russian culture, and that every Russian hoodlum inside the walls is f*cking his ass up. Ok FYI HE IS INNOCENT. The public claims that it happened over a 3 year period of time which is false cus he didn't even live there for 3 years. Second IF this did go on for 3 years i dont think she would stay quiet for that long she would tell her parents. It couldn't even happen with all these people around all the time. I think it was the step father and she just didnt want to say anything. Its always like that. Why would a young man do that who had a girlfriend at that time do that?? She just doesn't wanna say who it really is. Kids dont know what they are talking about. VLADY would NEVER in 1190284190283123 years do somthing like this. This is a WONDERFUL daycare everyone who brought they're kids there agree. she watched the kids at all time no way somethin could happen like that for so long. The day care was running for 9 years. Obviously she has it under control. Everything just doesn't make any sense. All the proof they have are the girls words, and thats not enough to put someone away, even for a few months. And now hes locked up for months because trail is going to take forever. its messed up

Actually, in trying to respond to Curm, I only confused the issue more, for myself at least. He's right, there's two different people referenced here and it's unclear what the relationship is between "Lodick", the alleged abuser, and the daycare. Friends with Sergey? We can only speculate at this point. Perhaps Tim can follow-up for more information.

Perhaps you were thrown off by the misused/misplaced semi-colon :)

Tim to Anne: thanks for pointing that out. I only know that the police said his legal address was Tualatin, and I understand that the part about his staying at the place where the offenses occurred is unclear. This is one of those police releases that we rewrite to some degree but work strictly from the release. I admit that I didn't call the law enforcement agency responding to the incident, sorry for the lack of clarity and structuring.

I'm a bit confused after reading this article. What connection does Volynets-Vasylchenko have with this daycare center? We know that the owner's son, Sergey Lyashenko, was arrested on an unrelated charge, but we don't know who the owner is. Where does Volynets-Vasylchenko fit into this picture? Is he a relative? An employee? According to the article the daycare center is in Beaverton and Volynets-Vasylchenko lives in Tualatin.
