(SALEM, Ore.) - Tunisia's interior minister said in a statement that many nationals of his country, involved in the Iraq and Syria conflicts, express regret and seek to return to Tunisia.

According to Nile Net Online news, eyewitness reports indicate that a group of Tunisian citizens gathered outside the Tunisian Embassy in Turkey chanted "repentance" - seeking to return to their country, naming Turkish merchants and Saudi missionaries as agents of ISIS.

Tunisian nationals who recently returned from Syria were quoted in the report saying: "We have been duped, those who brought us here said we would be recruited in factories and commercial and economic enterprises but once in Turkey, we were told we were sent for Jihad in Syria and in Iraq."
