(LONDON) - Ynet reported today that US Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said during a House Intelligence Committee hearing Thursday that Egypt’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood movement was "a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried al-Qaeda as a perversion of Islam." Clapper, who heads the organization commanding 16 American intelligence and investigation agencies, told the committee that the Muslim Brotherhood "have pursued social ends, a betterment of the political order in Egypt, et cetera….. There is no overarching agenda, particularly in pursuit of violence, at least internationally.” Clapper said that the group fills a vacuum caused by the absence of government services, but added, “It is not necessarily with a view to promoting violence or overthrow of the state.” For those who fail to understand, America makes its final preparation for a total geopolitical change. It grasps finally that its Barbarian little regional ally may not serve its interests after all. Israel and its lobbies better be prepared for the worst. Please note that Clapper backed away from the comment the above article refers to within two hours of the innitial idiotic statement (yes the MB is most certainly "not secular!"), maybe Salem-news should update that retraction for the purposes of being accurate? A novel concept?
On Friday’s “America Live with Megyn Kelly,” columnist Mark Steyn had some harsh words for Clapper, not only for the intelligence failures surrounding the Egyptian turmoil, but also for his comments that the Muslim Brotherhood as a “secular” organization.
“This is the director of intelligence of the global superpower and he is going on one of the most historic days in the Middle East – he is going around the world announcing that the guy in charge of U.S. intelligence is an idiot,” Steyn said. “A few weeks ago just before Christmas, he was oblivious to the biggest terror bust of the day.”
That terror bust he was referring to was in an interview Clapper conducted with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, which he said he was unaware of a London terror bust. Read more at dailycaller.com ... Completely normal for a Liberal. Remember Chamberlain?
Liberals always see the world the way they WANT it to be and ignore the way things are in REALITY. Their penchant for this warped thinking is so ingrained that NO AMOUNT of actual evidence will convince them otherwise. Even the words and actions of the enemy will not convince them. They are like little children hiding under the blankets with their fingers in their ears.
Liberals, in short, have a mental deficiency. They cannot, will not, accept any reality that conflicts with their self-made world view. They just ignore it.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Editor: The only thing we can be sure of is that the US is a long way from Egypt and many are clueless about what is or was taking place. I have no doubt that many westerners have a propensity to negatively assess the motives of a group like MB, though I haven't seen anything from this group to indicate that there is anything alarming taking place. And after 63 years of Israeli religious extremism in this region, the last thing I feel qualified to do is stand in judgment As far as 'warped thinking' goes, you must be confused and again be referring to Israel. You read the track record Mike, that's all. As far as your smart ass remarks, it is so utterly lame that I am not going to even indulge you. But your insults are not lost.
NIfty product for despots February 11, 2011 4:17 pm (Pacific time)
Boeing has developed a nifty product for despots. As 'political revolutions' play out in the Information Age, availability of the Internet and Internet privacy has become a topic of interest for every person who utilizes it. The link below is to a short report on Internet 'tracking and spying technologies' being marketed out of California by Boeing. Targeted buyers? Despotic regimes around the world. The far reaching political implications are obvious, especially in the area of political intelligence gathering. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uODOBCgNhZc
CIA's man on the ground? February 11, 2011 3:33 pm (Pacific time)
"Suleiman the torturer: Source: http://english.aljazeera.net/indepth/opinion/2011/02/201127114827382865.html
Quote:"In October 2001, Habib was seized from a bus by Pakistani security forces. While detained in Pakistan, at the behest of American agents, he was suspended from a hook and electrocuted repeatedly. He was then turned over to the CIA, and in the process of transporting him to Egypt he endured the usual treatment: his clothes were cut off, a suppository was stuffed in his anus, he was put into a diaper - and 'wrapped up like a spring roll'.
In Egypt, as Habib recounts in his memoir, My Story: The Tale of a Terrorist Who Wasn’t, he was repeatedly subjected to electric shocks, immersed in water up to his nostrils and beaten. His fingers were broken and he was hung from metal hooks. At one point, his interrogator slapped him so hard that his blindfold was dislodged, revealing the identity of his tormentor: Suleiman.
Frustrated that Habib was not providing useful information or confessing to involvement in terrorism, Suleiman ordered a guard to murder a shackled prisoner in front of Habib, which he did with a vicious karate kick. In April 2002, after five months in Egypt, Habib was rendered to American custody at Bagram prison in Afghanistan - and then transported to Guantanamo. On January 11, 2005, the day before he was scheduled to be charged, Dana Priest of the Washington Post published an exposé about Habib’s torture. The US government immediately announced that he would not be charged and would be repatriated to Australia."

i like gilad, but...this Egypt situation has been an incident that separates the learned from the non-learned. People not knowing where the mb was birthed, people not knowing that El baradei is the elite choice..and today, the Google correspondent is now part of the El baradei movement. I said this 2 days after the uprising. Egypt is getting nothing more than a "new and improved" dictatorship, all orchestrated almost a year ago by the elite. israel is not in charge, neither is obama.. Those in charge over them, planned this all along. They want El Baradei, they tested the waters of revolt, what the people would do, what the military would do, and also tested their internet shut down. They know, more of this is coming, and this was nothing more than a practice run, and putting in their "new and improved" dictator.
The only one that went along with my theory, almost 2 weeks ago, was Gordon Duff..I will be making veteranstoday.com, and gordon my "go to" info.
Editor: You know, stating that about my brother Gilad makes the ground shaky, you should write your name down here and not pose as anonymous while you compare writers, etc. Gordon is my brother too, and I like both of them immensely, however I prefer to not see any writer pitted against another when they are all working to see Palestine achieve a free state of existence. We publish both of these men, they are both heroic for what they do. Each has their heart in the right place and are men of action. I wouldn't go on if it were not for the content; I have been researching MB and publishing their extremely well written news releases and frankly I think Gilad did nothing here but express a simple fact. If you are right about one thing it is that when it comes to MB, Israel is indeed not in charge.
FREE PALESTINE!
