Anna Nicole Smith's Autopsy Today

Report says illegal narcotics, prescription medications were found in Smith's hotel room.

(HOLLYWOOD, Fla.) - Anna Nicole Smith, who some compared to Marilyn Monroe, died Thursday after collapsing in her hotel room at the at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino in Florida.

An autopsy will be performed Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to determine the cause of death.

WCBS-TV in New York is reporting that while searching Smith's hotel room, investigators found illegal narcotics and prescription medications.

A toxicology report will determine whether one of these drugs or a combination of both substances contributed to her death.

At 1:45 PM EST her bodyguards started CPR on Smith in her hotel room according to Seminole County police officials.

She arrived at the hotel on Monday with a party of four including her husband Howard K. Stern.

Police also think that Smith's 6-month old daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, is at the couple's home in the Bahamas.

CNN is reporting that Larry Birkhead, who says he is the biological father of Smith's six-month-old daughter, has filed an emergency court order to gain temporary custody of the child.

According to news reports Smith collapsed this morning at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Hotel officials said Smith was "unresponsive" and emergency responders performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat.

She was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2:00 PM EST.

Beverly Hills publicist Edward Lozzi called Smith very funny and dumb like a fox.

Anna Nicole Smith was born Vickie Lynn Hogan in Houston, Texas on Nov. 28th, 1967.

While growing up, Vickie told others she wanted to be the next Marilyn Monroe. While working as a waitress at Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken in Mexia, she met Billy Wayne Smith, who was the cook at the restaurant.

They were married April 4th, 1985. She was then age 17 and he was 16. The next year, she gave birth to their son, Daniel Wayne Smith.

A high-school dropout, initially she found employment at Wal-Mart and later as a waitress at Red Lobster, but could not make enough money to support herself and Daniel. She then became an exotic dancer.

Smith's career took off after she was chosen by Hugh Hefner to appear on the cover of the March 1992 issue of Playboy wearing a low-cut evening gown.

While performing at Gigi's, a Houston strip club, in October 1991, Smith met elderly oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall and they began a relationship. During their two year relationship, he reportedly lavished gifts on her and asked her to marry him several times.

On June 27th, 1994, Smith, age 26, and Marshall, age 89, were married in Houston, which gained international press almost from the very beginning.

Smith gave birth to Dannielynn on Sept. 7th in Nassau; Stern is listed on her birth certificate as the father.

Tragically, Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, died suddenly on September 10th, 2006, in his mother's hospital room while visiting her and his newborn sister.

An autopsy showed that Daniel died from a lethal combination of Zoloft, Lexapro and methadone.

On September 28th, 2006, Smith and Howard K. Stern exchanged vows and rings in an informal "commitment ceremony" aboard the 41-foot catamaran Margaritaville off the coast of the Bahamas.

Last month, the Federal Trade Commission announced that TrimSpa would pay $1.5 million to settle allegations that the company's claims about weight loss were untrue.

After she was named Playmate of the Year in 1993, Smith appeared in ads for Guess jeans.

In 2002, she debuted in her own reality TV series on the E! cable network, The Anna Nicole Show. The series focused on her personal and private life.

The debut of the The Anna Nicole Show was the highest rated series on the network, but critics blasted it and ratings dropped with each successive week.

You know, the only important thing is that a child is involved. And man, I hope this doesn't go on as long as the OJ deal! Get the paternity test and move on is what they should make happen. But, No, too many people are going to "make their mark" show their face and that includes the media! And they will make money on this death. So People, don't tune in!! Our lives are not that Lame so don't watch and feed their paychecks! Cause really, Who cares about Anna's past and no one really knows what was going on in her head for the past few years.

I actually felt so little "compassion" over this event that it bothered me, not being normally given to callous disregard.,and compared to the other stories of the day or week and the forseeable future.,I still couldn't get serious about it.,not because I'm a male either, I hope. That's what initially bothered me and it wasn't as far as I analyzed, the reason. It's too bad anyone has to go out at a younger age or anytime for that matter.,speaking from a middle age perspective, but if she wasn't half exposed in eulogy items I think most every story this week would have been treated with more importance, like the Dioxin dumping level being raised in Marion county to allow more waste incineration.,or the death of Mrs. Boatwright a few weeks ago or more recently Mr. Phillips' tragic circumstances.,I know you know the list goes on.,and I agree with you the "game is played by both as far as I've noticed.,and I am determined personally to put a better mind to my outlook. I thought some of the "comments" by the Devil to be sufficiently inclusive.

Wow! The woman is dead. How would you do if all of your secrets, faults, addictions, mistakes and sexual partners were splattered all over the news? She did not deserve this level of judgement. And after bouncing back off the ropes,(staggering in another direction), I was able to regain my composure and when I looked in the mirror I saw a small insect in my nostril. I then removed it, and started to laugh again, very hard, as the reflection didn't remind me of her at all! Well Matt Lintz; Here goes again and I can not exactly write what I wrote but thank you for your consideration. I did nothing that would cause a problem. My point about Anna Nicole was that she represents our culture. It is not fair to criticize her when she is a product of our culture of money grabbing, clawing at each other, lies in corporations and government and our quest for power. People should have far more disdain for the Civil War in Iraq than her. She represents the dark side of the United States and its often cruel and mixed up culture. We created her. She would not have been able to flourish to the extent that she did without a large volume of public interest and support. Before we judge her we should look in the mirror. She was truly AMERICAN!

Sympathy?., Heaven!!.,hell people, get a grip!, this woman made her mark being photographed naked (full exposure) and often. (Not for minimum wage either!).,later betrothed to an enfeebled octenagerian in a wheelchair four times her age!,(out of pure love,devotion.., and generosity, I'm sure!),and after his death, barely a year into this..., matrimoney.,she..,shattered and crestfallen emotionally of course, makes an Oprah Winfry "born once again, new skinny me!" comeback and goes on to "star" in her own "reality" T.V. show!.,surprizingly, all about herself!. wait, there's more!, then she has kids who are less than Sterling of character.,no one's blaming them of course, and no one's yet quite sure whose the newest little one is either!. About the only thing she didn't do was get elected as president of the United States!(Rep.) So in my humble opinion, Hell doesn't need her around anyhow, Heaven bound's o.k. w/me!
