(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - Milwaukie Police responded to a report of a subject lying on the side of the road on SE River Road, just south of SE McLoughlin Boulevard at 7:44 PM. Arriving officers found a male subject who had suffered from a fatal gunshot wound. The subject, identified at this time as a 32-year old Milwaukie man, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident is being investigated by the Milwaukie Police Department and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
