(SALEM) - Oregon State Police arrested a man they say fled on foot after a traffic violation Monday morning.

20-year old Shane Curry, was stopped in a 1986 Pontiac Grand-Am on Court Street in Salem at around 9:30 AM.

Curry ran towards Willamette University, entered Gatke Hall, and then jumped out a second-floor restroom window.

He continued running south across the campus and shed some of his clothing along the way, according to police.

Curry was spotted by Willamette University security on a 12th Street foot bridge, where he was detained until police arrived.

Curry was logged in the Marion County Jail and charged with attempt to elude police on foot, a misdemeanor, Second-Degree criminal trespassing and Second-Degree burglary.

He was also driving with a suspended license.

Police are also trying to track down the vehicle's owner, because the car is not registered to Curry.
