Abby Martin on the Iran Contra & the CIA Cocaine Conspiracy

Our writer Tosh Plumlee is one of the CIA pilots who blew the whistle on the whole thing.

Abby Martin

(WASHINGTON, DC) - In this video, RTV's Abby Martin calls out an article from New York Magazine that suggests the CIA's connection to cocaine trafficking is a mere conspiracy theory.

This is a subject covered regularly on Salem-News.com, and also in the book co-authored by Robert O'Dowd and Tim King, Betrayal: Toxic Exposure of U.S. Marines, Murder and Government Cover-up.

The notion that a magazine would belittle the hard facts behind Iran-Contra affair as conspiracy is simply sad.

The United States did, absolutely, run drugs to support its aid to the right-wing Contra rebels in Nicaragua. A Sacramento based reporter named Gary Webb was the first in the media to bring this wicked story out and it cost him his life. (See: Don't Kill the Messenger: Looking Back at the Death of Reporter Gary Webb)

Our writer Tosh Plumlee is one of the CIA pilots who blew the whistle on the whole thing.

Here is Abby Martin's review of the CIA's support for Nicaraguan rebel fighters during the Iran Contra scandal with ties to US cocaine trafficking.
