These GOP candidates are on the record in having little to no interest in honoring state's rights when it comes to medical marijuana.

(MANCHESTER, New Hampshire) - The Marijuana Policy Project and two New Hampshire patients will challenge presidential candidates Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Mitt Romney to back up their statements regarding medical marijuana with scientific evidence. It happens during a press conference set for Thursday at 10:00 AM.

The challenge will be announced in front of Giuliani's Manchester headquarters, featuring a mobile billboard with images of the three candidates bearing Pinocchio noses.

In response to questions asked by medical marijuana patients and supporters, Giuliani, McCain and Romney have all claimed that medical marijuana is either not needed or "too dangerous" for medical use. These statements come on the heels of numerous reports that confirm the healing qualities of medical cannabis.

Several U.S. states have legalized medical marijuana in recent years and while the federal government fails to recognize these state's rights, a increasing number of medical organizations are throwing their support behind medical marijuana.

It is clear at any rate, that these GOP candidates side with President Bush in not honoring measures passed by voters as laws in their respective states.

The MPP Medical Marijuana PAC will offer the maximum $10,000 contribution ($5,000 for the primary campaign, $5,000 for the general election) to any of the candidates who can prove that their claims are true.
