An American Vietnam War officer describes the day a soldier tried to kill him with a hand grenade.
(SALEM, Ore.) - This is the story of a man who survived an attempt on his life, by chance... and he is traumatized by it to this very day. Why do soldiers kill their leaders?
It is a historic problem, what matters is how it is recognized and dealt with.
(SALEM, Ore.) - With Martin Luther King Day soon to arrive, we as a nation are seeing exacerbated bias and namecalling on the basis of political belief. There is a distinct lack of real civil discourse. In its place lurks the demon of partisan bigotry--that's for certain.
One wonders how Dr. King would have addressed this divisive issue.
The RV owner was able to get out safely and rescued his cat in the process.

Americans must learn the truth and stand up for their rights.
(EUGENE, Ore.) - We hear many debates about which country or countries provide the best healthcare systems. These discussions often become derailed and get bogged down in expressions of fear of what are perceived as the “socialist” ways of the European Countries.

Ignorance is a powerful weapon.
(EUGENE, Ore.) - Medford Police Chief Randy Schoen has some explaining to do. The chief used the city's Neighborhood Watch Bulletin to go on a rant against medical cannabis and Oregon's OMMP (Oregon Medical Marijuana Program).
The chief is of course welcome to his opinion. He is not welcome, of course, to use his city's resources to go on a rant based on opinion (and not fact) about an issue regarding citizens' health care.

"It is fun to kick the government around" - Purdue Pharma

(SALEM, Ore.) - Le Parkour meets trials riding. I admit that I'm out of the loop with all the latest motorcycle trends, but the advances in recent years of this motorized human art form have certainly been record setting.
