Washington County Man Life Flighted After Driving Into a Tree (PHOTOS)

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Washington County Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident Sunday on NW Dairy Creek Road at NW Three Cedars Road. Sgt. Vance Stimler with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, says the vehicle left the road and hit a tree causing extensive damage and injuring the driver.
30-year old David Law of Washington County, was transported
by Life Flight to OHSU with life threatening injuries.

Sheriff`s Deputies Arrest 37 DUII Drivers over Labor Day Weekend

Sheriff's offices in this report include Washington County, Clackamas County, Multnomah County and Yamhill County.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
As a result of a consolidated effort by the Regional Sheriff's Offices from Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill counties, 37 DUII drivers were arrested and taken off of the region's roadways during the Labor Day weekend.
Deputies from the four Sheriff's Offices in the region worked extra shifts from Friday, September 4th to Monday September 7th, in an attempt to make the roads safer for holiday travelers.

Two Aloha Men Charged With Raping 12-Year Old

Both suspects have been charged with Measure 11 crimes.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Detectives have arrested two men for sexual activity with a 12-year old girl. The girl was an acquaintance of the men and the sexual contact occurred independent of each other.
Dave Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says detectives arrested 18-year old Ramiro Vargas-Ramos and 19-year old Francisco Lopez-Mendez, both men from the Community of Aloha.

Woman Arrested for Poisoning Baby Daughter with Morphine

She's on probation in LA County for poisoning of her then 10-month-old child in a very similar situation.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
An Oregon woman is charged with giving her infant daughter a high dose of morphine in order to gain attention from the father of the child.
Investigators say on June 3, 2009, 25-year-old Sara Rose Dillard-Lubin took her then two-month-old daughter to the emergency room at St. Vincent's Hospital claiming that her daughter had a high fever.

Three Captured After Beaverton Bank Robbery

48-old Dale Danley, his son 17-year old James Danley, and 16-year old Harley Meyers, were all arrested for first-degree Robbery.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Investigators say one man and two juveniles were arrested Monday after robbing the Key Bank Located at NW Murray Boulevard and NW Science Park Drive.
Sgt. David Thompson, Public Information Officer with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, says all three suspects were apprehended by Beaverton Police and Washington County deputies.

Head-On Crash Kills Motorcycle Rider and Teen Passenger

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team was called to the scene and is continuing to investigate.
(NORTH PLAINS, Ore.) -
Two people were killed instantly when the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a pick-up truck. Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. The North Plains Police Department responded to the scene.
Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says the male driver and female passenger on the motorcycle were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on on NW West Union Road.

Suspect Arrested in 2007 Attempted Murder Case

The suspect is charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder, first-degree Assault, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Washington County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested a suspect in a shooting that occurred in October of 2007. Juanito Garcia was arrested in California last week on an attempted murder warrant. He is now in the Washington County Jail.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Dave Thompson, says deputies traveled to California to take custody of 21-year-old Juanito Ray Garcia who is a suspect in the shooting that occurred on October 14th 2007.

Doctor`s Guilty Plea on Sex Abuse Charges Means Several Years in Prison

Lawrence Ronald Litwer is sentenced to 60-months in a penitentiary.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Dr. Lawrence Ronald Litwer of Portland, Oregon was sentenced today to 60-months in the Oregon penitentiary for crimes involving contact with an underage female. Litwer pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree Attempted Sex Abuse.
Washington County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Dave Thompson, says that when Ronald Litwer was first arrested, Sheriff’s detectives were concerned that his position as an urgent care doctor could have led to other incidents of abuse.

Aloha Man Charged With Murder of his 2-Month Old Daughter

Eber Gramajo was arraigned on Murder charges today at 3:00 p.m. at the Washington County Jail.
(ALOHA, Ore,) -
Police have arrested an Aloha man on Murder charges related to the death of his 2-month old daughter. Aloha Police say Eber Gramajo was arrested yesterday afternoon for Assault after his two-month-old child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office says detectives investigating the crime learned that Mr. Gramajo was home alone with the child when she suffered a severe closed-head injury.

No Injuries in Plane Crash Near Gales Creek (PHOTOS)

The plane was completing a flight from Moscow Idaho and attempted to land on a private gravel runway when the pilot attempted to avoid a vehicle parked near the landing strip.
(GALES CREEK, Ore.) -
Washington County sheriff's deputies responded to the Gales Creek area just before 5:00 p.m. today, after receiving reports about a plane crashing in a field.
As it turns out, according to Sgt. Bob Ray with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the pilot lost control while landing the small passenger plane, which crashed landed in a field. There were no injuries to the pilot or passenger, he said.
