It's been a long day in Tualatin, where a fatal shooting shattered lives Tuesday.
(TUALATIN, Ore.) -
Yesterday afternoon, Tualatin experienced a tragic event where two people were killed and two others were injured.
As officers responded to the scene, it became clear that other bystanders could have been killed or injured had it not been for the quick reactions of bystanders to seek safety and shelter.

Three Dead in Apparent Murder Suicide

Detectives are still investigating the incident and will not be releasing details of the crime until they are more certain of the series of events that led to the three deaths.

Detectives with the Washington County Sheriff's Office are investigating the deaths of three people in the Bethany area. The preliminary investigation indicates that this was a murder suicide.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin, said Spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff, Dave Thompson.

Union County Triple Homicide Defendant Pleads Guilty; Sentencing Scheduled

The guilty pleas were entered pursuant to a negotiated settlement.

Union County District Attorney Timothy Thompson says this supersedes the previously filed Information after his capture in Thurston County, Washington on August 3rd.
The state agreed to not seek the death penalty on the Aggravated Murder charges. As part of the plea agreement, Cook will provide a truthful and complete recitation of the details of the crimes, verified by polygraph.

Pacific City Man Arrested for Murder in Missing Albany Fisherman Case

John Curtis Adkins has been missing since last July.
(PACIFIC CITY, Ore.) -
A Pacific City man is under arrest on Murder charges. Police say the arrest is connected to the disappearance of an Albany man missing since last July, who was the owner of a 47' fishing vessel.
The suspect was arrested in Oregon and is pending extradition to Washington State for arraignment related to the murder of 53-year old John Curtiss Adkins.

Amber Alert Issued for 3 Year Old Texas Boy

The suspect is Mario Romero, an Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5'7" and 205 pounds.
(DENVER CITY, Tx.) -
The State of Texas issued the Amber Alert Friday (10-16) after the boy was reportedly abducted by the suspect in Denver City.
Denver City is near the New Mexico-Texas state line, about 30 miles east of the New Mexico town of Lovington. The child's mother was found murdered at the child's home and the suspect is wanted in connection with the murder.

Arrests Made in Cornelius Murder

Officers from the Cornelius Police, along with officers from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and Hillsboro Police are continuing the investigation.
(CORNELIUS, Ore.) -
Two suspects have been arrested in a murder investigation that occurred over the weekend, according to Commander Ed Jensen with Cornelius Police.
The investigation stems from the death of 19-year old Eduardo Andrade-Alcanter of Hillsboro was killed on October 2, 2009.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public help to identify a person of interest from an incident that occurred earlier this month involving a local man who was a drill instructor during his earlier years as a U.S. Marine.
September 12, 2009 at 6:45 a.m., Kevin Shultz with the Marion County Sheriff's Office, says deputies responded to the Salem Hospital Emergency room regarding the report of a 74-year old Salem man who had come in with significant injuries.

Lubbock, Texas Murder Suspect Arrested in Bend

(BEND, Ore.) -
Oregon State Police and Bend Police Department assisted Lubbock, Texas police in the arrest Wednesday in Bend, Oregon of a murder suspect wanted in connection with the 2006 disappearance and murder of two women.
Lieutenant Gregg Hastings with OSP, says today at approximately 12:00 noon, detectives from the Oregon State Police and Bend Police Department arrested 59-year old Mickey Weldon Patterson outside of a Bend-area residence located at 31 SE Benaiah Circle.

McMinnville Police Chief Ron Noble was a Corvallis Police Lieutenant when Brooke Wilberger disappeared in May 2004. Her remains were recovered in recent days after a confession from her killer, Joel Courtney. He avoided a death sentence by revealing the location of her remains.
