Survivor of Russian Immigrant Family Child Abuse Speaks Out

To the people who think my story seems familiar, or think they may know me, you might just be right.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Child abuse I can tell you the firsthand experience with the abuse I had to suffer as a child. People often wonder why so many Russian children are violent or just plain wild or uncontrollable.

It is merely a cry for help. These kids are raised in an extremely controlled and sheltered environment, raised with obnoxious religious outlooks, and told to act like everything is perfect in public no matter how much shit they are put through. Oh, and did I mention that ANY disobedience means a beating?

Oregon Man Arrested for Assaulting Infant

The suspect, Kevin Jarnagin, is being held on $305,000 bail.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - 23-year old Kevin James Jarnagin A Newberg man has been arrested for assault and mistreatment following the investigation into an incident critically injuring a seven-month old infant.

23-year old Kevin James Jarnagin called the Newberg-Dundee 9-1-1 Center shortly after 930 a.m. Tuesday, July 7th 2009, reporting that an infant girl was not breathing and unresponsive.

Law Will Clamp Down on School Sex Abuse

Senate votes to step up penalties for inappropriate sexual contact with high school students of all ages.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Sex abuse Oregon high school students will be better protected with legislation passed by the Senate this morning.

Senate Bill 48 allows the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission to revoke the license and permanently bar a teacher or administrator who is found guilty by a preponderance of evidence of rape, sodomy, sexual penetration, or sex abuse of a student in grade 12 or below.

Child Porn Traffickers Cited in Missing Child Search

In a precedent that could have a major impact nationwide, California police say they are looking at known child pornography traffickers in a missing child case.

(TRACY, Calif.) - Missing poster for Sandra Cantu Police in Tracy, California, a city of 80,000 just east of San Francisco, are searching for an 8 year-old child, Sandra Cantu, who disappeared March 27th.

Now, according to the Tracy Press, investigators in the case say they are looking at 60 individuals in the Tracy area who have been identified trafficking in child pornography, along with 78 "registered" sex offenders.

Oregon needs to address Domestic Violence and School Bullying as forerunners to creating the Military Mindset. "Let there be light," so it says in Genesis. We who proclaim to love Peace must not ignore the homefront.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Statue of Liberty Crying The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) sharply criticized a last-minute regulation by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that poses a serious threat to patients' rights to receive complete and accurate health care information and services.

"This midnight regulation, issued in the last days of the Bush administration, undermines this country's fragile health care system as well as patients' access to health care information and services," said PPFA President Cecile Richards. "We look forward to working with President-elect Obama and leaders in Congress to repeal this disastrous rule and expand patients' access to full health care information and services — not limit it."

Oregon Man Arrested for Abusing 7-Month Old Baby

Police say a medical exam revealed that the small boy had suffered a skull fracture.

(SHERWOOD, Ore) - Sherwood Police Officers a arrested 44-year old Hillsboro man today on charges of third-degree Assault and first-degree Criminal Mistreatment in connection with the physical abuse of a seven-month old boy.

Earl Pionell Knox was arrested without incident at approximately 3:30 PM today, in Washington County.

Police say the arrest stemmed from a September 15th incident during which the child's mother, a Sherwood resident, sought medical treatment for the child. The injury was reported to police by health care providers.
