Three People Sought in Home Invasion and Assault

All three individuals are currently wanted for first-degree Burglary and second-degree Assault.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Wanted for first-degree Burglary and second-degree Assault: 32-year old Daniel Hoffman, 27-year old Bradley W. Heffinger & 24-year old Emily A. Hatfield The East Metro Gang Enforcement Team is asking for the public's help in locating three suspects involved in a Home Invasion and Assault in Gresham last week.

Sgt. Richard Wilson with Gresham Police, says on November 5, 2009 at approximately 9:30 p.m., 32-year old Daniel Hoffman, 27-year old Bradley W. Heffinger & 24-year old Emily A. Hatfield, all of Portland forced their way into a residence in Rockwood, severely injuring the resident in front of three very small children.

Two Albany Brothers Arrested for Assaulting Salem Man

Anyone who witnessed the assault Monday evening or has information about this crime, to call Detective Mike Quakenbush at (503)588-6050.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Handcuffs Police say a Salem man was assaulted Monday evening at about 8:00 p.m. 47-year old Charles Peters told police he was assaulted by two men near the intersection of Pine and Commercial Street NE, according to Salem Police Lt. Steve Birr.

"Peters was struck multiple times with an unidentified blunt instrument. Peters was transported to Salem Hospital where he still remains," Birr said.

Former Marine Dies From Injuries Recieved During Assault: Suspect at Large

The person-of-interest is described as being medium height with a medium build. He has dark eyes, dark hair with a weathered, drawn face. He is also described as having a bad complexion.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Sketch of suspect in Salem assault that turned deadly. The Marion County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public help to identify a person of interest from an incident that occurred earlier this month involving a local man who was a drill instructor during his earlier years as a U.S. Marine.

September 12, 2009 at 6:45 a.m., Kevin Shultz with the Marion County Sheriff's Office, says deputies responded to the Salem Hospital Emergency room regarding the report of a 74-year old Salem man who had come in with significant injuries.

Elderly Man Seriously Injured Saturday Morning by Unknown Attacker

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who observed a white male, possibly in his 30's, riding a bicycle in the area of Santana Park, Shawnee Drive SE or Shenandoah Ave SE between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on the morning of September 12, 2009.

FBI Releases 2008 Crime Stats for Oregon and Washington

The FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting Program collects data on murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-threat, and motor vehicle thefts.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - FBI Crime in 2008 Today, the FBI released its annual Crime in the United States report for American cities. Nationwide, violent crime fell by 1.9%. Property crime was down 0.8%.

Overall, each of the four specific violent crime offense categories—from aggravated assault to murder—was down from 2007. Only one of the property crime offense categories, motor vehicle thefts, dropped from 2007 to 2008; the other property crime categories were all up.

Grant Supports Oregon Housing Program Combating Violence Against Women

$499,978 will Support Program in Klamath County, Oregon.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Domestic violence Attorney General Eric Holder says $499,978 in Recovery Act funds was awarded to an Oregon organization by the Office on Violence Against Women Recovery Act Transitional Housing Program.

The funds are being awarded to the Klamath Crisis Center in Klamath County.

Local Deputies Extremely Outnumbered During Riot in Jefferson

A bar crowd got out of control after deputies tazed a man who they say resisted arrest.

(JEFFERSON, Ore.) - 28-year old Colin Weddle, 34-year old Benedict Butler and 29-year old Ty Ryan Amaral Marion County Deputies responded to the Plantation Inn on 2nd Street in Jefferson Saturday at 1:30 a.m. over a report of a disorderly subject.

The situation escalated and people started hitting and shoving the deputies from behind. Because they were extremely outnumbered they called for a "Code 0", which means a deputy or officer is in need of imminent assistance and all law enforcement agencies in the area respond as quickly as possible with as many officers/deputies as they are able to send.
