Hemp Hemp Hooray! was one of Jack Herer's favorite lines, and it is great to see it repeated so vivaciously.

Marijuana Therapy: The Oregonian April 22 Blesses with Full-Page Ad

Oregon's premiere newspaper, The Oregonian, up till this Sunday edition, has been vilifying marijuana and all of its aspects for about twelve years. This, in spite of the fact that it has been known as a highly safe, highly effective medicine for about four thousand years- and there are currently some 55,000 medical patients in Oregon.

For years, all of us advocates have been asking whoever we could ask for some sort of legislation which would take marijuana out of the grasp of the Mexican marijuana cartels.

“Tastes like sunflower, looks like sesame”, a clever little catch-phrase I picked up along the way which coins hempseed-as-a-food to a tee.

Be it hemp morning shakes, peanut chocolate energy balls made of hemp, almond goji powerballs, apple-power porridge (available right here in Victoria BC), finger licking brownies, hemp “cornchips”, veggie burgers or seeds in a salad dressing, there›s no doubt hemp is super-food. Not just hype; it is actually good for you. Hemp has been called the new soy and it’s ever more popular.

The petition will require the Federal Drug Administration to conduct a new scientific review and analysis of recent advances in Cannabis research since the last time the FDA reviewed the matter in 2006.

Kudos for telling the truth. These robberies occurred 686 times in 2010 and will probably go up this year as the OxyContin problem is widely endemic.

About 1.3 million pills were stolen in 2010 and the street price for one OxyContin pill went up to $80. The article also pointed out that there are at least 7 million marijuana users.
