<title> Marijuana Therapy: The Oregonian April 22 Blesses with Full-Page Ad</title>
<description> Oregon's premiere newspaper, The Oregonian, up till this Sunday edition, has been vilifying marijuana and all of its aspects for about twelve years. This, in spite of the fact that it has been known as a highly safe, highly effective medicine for about four thousand years- and there are currently some 55,000 medical patients in Oregon.

For years, all of us advocates have been asking whoever we could ask for some sort of legislation which would take marijuana out of the grasp of the Mexican marijuana cartels.

<description> The Oregon Cannabis Tax Act (OCTA 2012) has been gaining momentum as the time grows closer to the deadline for signatures to be submitted to the State, but nothing compares to the recent endorsement by the legendary country music star Willie Nelson.

That’s just the thing to add fuel to their signature-gathering fire.

<title> Medical Marijuana and the Monstrous Marijuana Doctor from Molalla</title>
<description> After Medical Marijuana was legalized in Oregon in 1998, I breathed a sigh of relief – now the Feds will quit harassing us. I knew many people were using it for legitimate medical reasons and why not. It works better and is cheaper than almost any pharmaceutical prescription.

My elation was short-lived and the specter of Devil Weed and Reefer Madness reared its ugly head.

<title> Oregon Legislature Doubles Fees for Sick Patients Using Marijuana</title>
<description> Fees for registering with the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program will double, from $100 per year to $200 per year, due to a Budget Bill that passed out of the Joint Ways and Means Committee and into the main chambers late Wednesday. The increase in fees was included in one of the over 30 bills that the Committee “barreled through” on Wednesday.

Sen. Doug Whitsett, R-Klamath Falls, objected to the lack of scrutiny over the bills, stating, “It's unacceptable to get this kind of information with no time to study it.”

Tomorrow, April 14th, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. proposed Senate Bill 874 will be going through what is known as a "gut and stuff" session. What's a "gut and stuff"? It's an opportunity to retain the framework of a bill and change what's within it.</description>

<description> The Maryland House of Delegates Judiciary Committee approved a bill yesterday, SB 308, which would allow patients who use marijuana to treat a medical condition to use a medical necessity defense in court.

The bill would also create a panel to advise the legislature on best practices for creating a medical marijuana program in 2012. The Senate passed the bill by a 41-6 vote on March 24, and will need to approve the bill again because of amendments made by the Judiciary Committee.

Researchers, doctors and patients say cannabis works better and is safer than almost all of the FDA approved medicines.

<title> Marijuana and Schizophrenia: Cause or Therapy?</title>
<description> This story is engendered by an article in TIME Magazine Feb. 21, 2011 entitled Pot and Schizophrenia: A Dangerous Mix. To put it mildly, TIME is full of crap and so are the authors of the medical article from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

It states they reviewed 83 studies and found that POT smokers who developed psychotic disorders did so 2.7 years before non-smokers.

	        <title> Mount Marijuana Permit Explosion</title>
<description> Way back in 1998 learned gentlemen of the Department of Human Services (DHS) when confronted with the legalization of Medical Marijuana collectively opined that about 500 patients in Oregon would qualify and be eligible for the ultra-valuable Oregon Medical Marijuana Permit.

After the first year, there were about 1000 patients and they of the DHS contentedly settled back, “Well we were only half wrong”.

<title> Oregon Marijuana Activists Make OCTA 2012 Official</title>
<description> Paul Stanford, Executive Director of the Hemp and Cannabis Foundation walked 2200 signatures in to the Oregon Secretary of State’s office on January 4th, 2011, officially sponsoring OCTA 2012. It could be a historic turning point for a state well known for its grass roots movements.

If the measure is passed by voters, OCTA 2012 will legalize the sale, possession and personal private cultivation of marijuana in the state of Oregon.

<title> Medical Marijuana: Lying, Addicted Patients and Gullible, Duped Doctors</title>
<description> Marijuana therapeutics, the use of marijuana as medicine, is probably the most reviled medical substance ever found, which is ironic to the extreme. It is simultaneously the safest, most useful and most used medicine ever found.

The patients who use marijuana are reviled as pot heads which is about pejorative as possible.
