(WOODBURN, Ore.) - A suspect wanted in connection with a deadly bomb blast Friday that killed two Oregon police officers and seriously injured a third, was arrested tonight. The incident in Woodburn, Oregon Friday also injured a bank employee.
Marion County Sheriff Russ Isham says the arrest was made Sunday evening.
Specifics about the arrest will not be made available immediately Isham said, "Due to the need to protect the integrity of the investigation and the safety of officers continuing to investigate this crime, the Marion County District Attorney's Office has directed the suspect's name, investigative and arrest details withheld at this time."
The arrest happened Sunday evening. A source tells Salem-News.com that the person arrested was taken into custody by a SWAT Team in the Salem area.
The exact arrest location is not being released at this time. The District Attorney's Office expects the say the investigation will allow the release of the suspect's name, age and charges by late Monday afternoon.
