Police are continuing to investigate the incidents that have caused thousands in property damage and shattered glass inches from at least one person's head.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Corvallis Police officers say they have responded to numerous reports of vehicles being struck by unknown types of projectiles over the past few weeks along SW Philomath Boulevard between SW 15th Street and SW 26th Street.

Captain Dan Hendrickson with Corvallis Police says that in addition to endangering the safety of dozens of people, the persons throwing the projectiles have caused several thousand dollars in damage.

"Vehicles have suffered major dents and deep scratches, as well as broken windows. In one reported incident a window struck by a projectile shattered inches from a passenger's head," he said.

He says officers responded to SW Philomath Boulevard and SW 15th Street Thursday at approximately 10:40 PM for another incident of this nature.

Hendrickson says two suspects were located near the area of SW 26th Street and SW Western Boulevard. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 18-year old Christopher Jackson-Grixby and a 15 year old juvenile male, both of Corvallis. The two suspects were charged for the previous similar incidents in addition to the latest incident on Thursday.

Both suspects were charged with one count of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, for the combined amount of damage Hendrickson said, and eight counts of Reckless Endangering.

Jackson-Grixby was transported to the Benton County jail and the juvenile male was transported to the Linn-Benton Youth Detention Center.

18-year old Christopher Jackson-Grixby is the only suspect arrested that was an adult. The second suspect was a 15-year old male.

Hendrickson says the Corvallis Police Department is continuing to actively investigating these incidents.

Anyone with information related to these reported cases or who believe they may have been victimized (not yet reported) is asked to contact Officer Jason Harvey at 766-6924.
