(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com visited Show Biz 2008 early Thursday afternoon, for a good look at all of the Salem Chamber of Commerce vendors who set up to share product and service information with other business owners and thousands of residents who visit Show Biz every year.
We interviewed a dozen or more businesses on the showroom floor, and had a lot of fun learning all the new things our area has to offer.
Tim King operated the main camera for this shoot, but in an effort to show more of these vendors, we equipped photographer Austin King with a special helmet mount camera manufactured by VIO and a special shooting platform from Electric Wheels in Salem. It allowed us to get a different perspective of this popular event.
Along with interviews and images of the event, the video features fast forward short tour segments of the showroom set to "The Flight of the Bumblebee". It is necessary to do it that way, because it would be very hard to even start to show the hundreds of vendors and endless array of things to see and taste and learn.
The valley’s largest business trade show really takes the work out of networking. There won’t be another event like this until May of 2009, when the next Show Biz is scheduled.
